I started zoloft 50mg last Thursday for social anxiety. I know it can takes weeks to work, but I feel nothing. I would expect to atleast feel something after a week. Anyone else experience the same thing?

I am from the midwest, born and raised. I moved to SW Florida in 2005. We lived there for two years. We have recently moved back to the midwest and I’m concerned I will slip into the winter depression that I used too.

I know someone who has been suffering from major depression for many years and is continually trying different treatment options, but nothing seems to work? Is there even a cure at all?
Does anyone have any kind of statistics?

Would they fail you on the psychiatry tests? Or you could join if your depression is fully healed?

I want to know what lessons were learned from people who went through the depression. What can be done by the average person to prepare for a depression?

how do i handle social anxiety disorder with panic attacks? how are you supposed to handle any social situation with this disorder?

I’m taking anti depression medication (celexa, & Bupropion) for couple of months now. I also have pain in my joints that I have been taking pain medication with little improvements. Now I was thinking of using alternative relief like medical marijuana. Would I have to stop taking my other medications in order to use it?

I know that there are non-drug methods and I’m well aware of them but what I’m interested in is what drugs help with social anxiety?
I know that “panic attacks and mild agoraphobia” revolve around anxiety which is what most of these medications seem to help with but aids in social anxiety specifically?

Can I request a c-section? I am filled with anxiety about the delivery (pain, etc) that it would be unhealthy to the baby with my blood pressure and stress. What can I do?

Is it possiable to still have postpartum depression 5 years after your child is born? I want nothing to do with my son, I try to do stuff for him like soccer and karate, but I personally want nothing to do with him.
