Has anyone had any complications when recovering from pertussis?

I have been sick since october with whooping cough and am just starting to recover now. I have heard of people have chronic pain diseases and other conditions requiring hospitalizations as a result of pertussis and just wanna know what to expect/look out for.
I have been vaccinated and was due for my next booster but ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time and got exposed to it. . . almost no adults die from pertussis and I am now in the third stage of the disease so my chances of dying from it are even lower

no pulmonologists will see because they say there is nothing they can do for me
i am just interested in any long term effects that have happened to people after recovering from the illness
