High Blood Pressure questions respound thanks all?

Hi Steve here here is the stupid story. Over the past year and a half every time I would go to the doctor I would held my Breath when he took my blood pressure. He does not know this at all. So now he tells me I have high blood pressure. This was well over a year ago. Can doing this make your doctor think you have very high blood pressure and put you on meds or doing this has no it has no effect and I really do have high blood pressure. So I never took all the different meds he has me on till this day because I hate taking medicine at ll. I do not take my blood pressure at home at all. Most of the readings my doctor gets are 165/180. Can holding your breath while he takes it make this reading happen? Do I really have high blood pressure? It does run in my family my mom, dad, and older sister has it for real. This is a ture story so please forgive my stupidy and help me out thanks..
