Is it standard for a psychiatrist to tell their patients that everyone has a different story as to the reason the patient feels suicidal? Is it also standard for a psychiatrist to tell their patient that everyone has a different story as to what traumatic event happened that caused them to develop PTSD? How about to tell them to use coping skills to deal with the fear of impending doom, symptoms of derealization, and panic attacks symptoms of the PTSD?
