I used to have that a lot!
7 up works for me..try not to let her eat solids for a while till her stomach calms down.
My grandma also taught my mother who taught me, that a teaspoon of Cumin helps calm down the stomach from feeling nauseous.
Also one more family treatment I know is mint tea or ginger tea, it's nice and hot. For the mint tea, just put about a teaspoon in the boiling water. Turn of the heat and let it sit there, then let her drink it with a cracker. For the Ginger tea, wash a piece of ginger, slice it up like pickle slices and put it in a pot of boiling water. Make sure they boil well. Hope this helps your daughter!
Best wishes!

I'd say that if the saltines and 7 up don't work, tell her to just go to sleep. That was what I used to do and when I woke up I was able to eat a little bit and keep it down.

BRAT diet

Banana

Yeah that's called a hangover.

Drink 1 liter of Pediatric Electrolyte-oral maintenance solution. It's a hydration fluid that restores body water & minerals lost in diarrhea/vomiting (or drinking). You can buy it at drug stores, found in the baby products isle. Go with the Apple flavor. A hangover is mostly caused by dehydration, so the sooner you start drinking this solution, the better you'll feel.

*Also eat high carb/greasy foods. That will bring your blood sugar back up. Take some Vitamin B12 & take a nap.

eat crackers or a banana. drink a lot of water to keep the body hydrated. avoid greasy food till you recover.

greasy foods only work if you eat before you sleep/pass out. i usually have a decent meal after drinking heavily. it makes the hangover the next morning less painful. when you do throw up its the food you ate last night coz it helped absorb a lot of the alcohol.

Here is a list of things that are OK to eat after vomiting or while being sick
-Bananas
-Whole grain bread (Never WHITE bread, it has chemicals in it to make it white)
-Soup. No tomatoes (They will make you throw up)
-Water, taken with little sips.
-Crackers (Nothing with cheese)
-Toast, with a little butter, because dry bread makes my mouth dry.

Here is a list of the basic stuff to NOT eat:
-Tomatoes
-Citrus fruits
-Dairy
-Anything that is perceived as 'Un-healthy snacks" (Chips, cookies, candy, cake, ect.)

When you feel better, continue to eat the food on the list (up top) but as you feel better, eat them with bigger bites.

I hope you feel better x [:

Cyclic vomiting syndrome –CVS – is difficult to diagnose. There are a multitude of conditions that produce similar symptoms. It is thought to be connected to migraine. The cause is usually a “trigger”. People with this condition usually become aware what seems to start or trigger the attacks. This may be different for each person. Mitochondrial DNA mutations may be involved as some tests have shown that over 80 percent of sufferers have a maternal parent who suffered from migraine. Also, over 20 percent of people with resolved CVS, went on to develop migraine. The drug favoured by most physicians is Cyproheptadine (Periactin) which is a non-selective antihistamine and also used for migraine. There are some side effects associated with this drug and advice should be sought from your doctor or pharmacist with reference to this, also the data sheet inside the container should be studied before taking any medication
I add a link containing details of CVS.

Hope this helps

I have had this since I was 9....I vomited every Friday for a year... my doctor diagnosed me with "migraines in the stomach"
Stress is the major contributor.
My next bad episode was at about 25.... Nausea all day every day for a year... the doctors are SO USELESS!!!! But persist in trying to find a doctor that knows about it, or is willing to learn. Although it is important to eliminate physical causes first.

What helped me was getting on anti-depressants which seem to regulate the nausea.
But most importantly
- Eliminate as much stress as possible
- Practise breathing deeply
- Try to regulate your mind as this is the major cause of attacks when you allow yourself to let your stomach get tied in knots
also:
- Bowl of cereal at night can help, so your blood sugar doesnt get so low while you sleep
- small meals, blander the better, like plain rice
- avoid alcohol, (you will only end up in hospital like me)

The best resource is online.... so try this site...

and see other answers I have come across in Yahoo!answers as there is some good advice there also.

Take care.

Don't eat until after an hour of throwing up. That is what the dr tells me for kids, anyway. Get some ginger-ale. Eat some toast. Mashed potatoes and rice are ok. Hopefully you feel better.
